A PROPHECY FULFILLED
The Chinese have a saying that a
journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
Our first step to bringing the light of the gospel to India was the release of the Focus Asia Womens
Ministries Manual in Tamil and English. It
trains gifted God-called women for ministry in His harvest field.
As the Lord continues His wondrous
work in India, the National Womens Committee felt the
unction to enlarge the scope of this manual in two ways.
First, the committee is enlarging its scope by making it available to women
belonging to different language groups in India. Consequently,
the manual is being translated into Hindi, the national language of India. This
translation will be dedicated to the Lords service this year at the AGNI Conference.
The zeal has
crossed oceans from India to Sri Lanka. In
June 2005, I had the opportunity to visit Sri Lanka to attend the National Womens
Conference, along with Mrs. Getzial Mohan and Dr. Rani Jeyachandran key women
leaders from India. The
decision of the Sri Lankan leadership to translate the Womens Ministries Manual from
Tamil to Sinhalese was significant. The translation work is underway and is expected to be
completed soon.
The committee
plans to enlarge the current manual with training for women in ministry to the sexually
abused, child abuse, women at risk in dowry or abusive relationships, and female
infanticide. These important new chapters will
be strategic in assisting the church in providing healing to a part of the world that is
very dark. One thing Ive learned by
personal observation is the darker a culture the greater the abuse to its women and
children. Thank you for helping us shed the
light of the gospel.
Thank
you for sacrificial love expressed through giving and prayer.
Previous Update:
Our district executive Tamilnadu
committee has requested our assistance in providing a manual mobilizing women in ministry.
The concepts of this manual have already been implemented into the district ministries
program in Tamilnadu.
When I returned to India
on September 1st of 2003, the first task that met me was an unfinished manual. There had been 20 Indian leaders who had
collaborated together to bring ideas to the table for the manual. It was an unfinished work that needed to be
rewritten, edited and translated. So for
hours, me and a committee of women sat around Mrs. Mohans desk and put our heads
together. It was a beautiful time of
interaction and synergy at work.
Last June, an African
evangelist, Bernard Ankhoma came to visit Mrs. Mohan at New Life A/G in Chennai. He prophesied over Sister Mohan that she
would write three books. He had no idea that
we were working on the first book together, which was the Focus Asia Womens
Ministries Manual. Pictured below is Mrs.
Mohan presenting him with the copy of the first book.
He held his prophecy in his hand last October. Ever felt the hand of
God leading you? This was one of those times.

Another prophecy this
evangelist gave was regarding Pastor and Mrs. Mohans second son, Benjamin. He prophesied that Ben would be involved in Media
Ministries. This evangelist had no idea that
last March I had encouraged Mrs. Mohan to place Ben full-time in Media Ministries. Ben is helping us with the TV program, Women
in Focus. Click HERE to view the two video clips
Ben helped us produce.
Friends, God is doing
something UNIQUE & MIRACULOUS. As I see
Gods hand in the details, I stand back in awe and wonder of what HE IS DOING IN
INDIA! Heres the amazing part, I get the
joy of being a part of it.
The
Focus Asia Womens Ministries Manual was dedicated to the Lord on October
28, 2004
by Rev. Arlene Allen, USA Womens Ministries Director and Pastor P.S. Rajamoni.

The
manual, written in the Indian context, was presented to all of the District
Superintendents who attended the conference. It
will be placed on the All-India General Council of the Assemblies of God website to make
it available to Indian people all over the world.

Please
see the video clip advertisement for this manual appearing below my picture on this
webpage. This is a wonderful tool equipping
the church.
Our goal is to print this
manual in Tamil, Hindi and English languages at a total printing cost of $3,000 each.
